American Carpet and Restoration from Hempstead Long Island, New York sold me on a mold treatment that was expensive and clearly not necessary. My basement was flooded this past holiday season. They arrived and recommeded a mold treatment to be done two days later (after the holiday). They left various fans for drying. I called them to cancel the treatment that they were scheduled to provide the following day given that water continued into the basement. I was left with a very big bill for fan rentals, water vac., and some spray that was washed away the day after their call. In the end I payed for nothing.
